Case Study

Variable width cavities needing insulating

Vaiable Width Cavities

The Client

Resident of Ford & Etal Estates, Ford Village, Berwick upon Tweed

The Problem

These early 1960’s stone built properties could not be insulated using standard cavity wall insulation products due to having variable width cavities and a random stone outer leaf.

 The Solution

After a comprehensive borescope survey, Technitherm® insulation and stabilisation foam was injected into the cavity. The injected liquid was able to flow around the cavity with the resulting foam produced expanding and filling all the void.

The property is now insulated offering savings to the homeowner on heating bill. Due to the stabilisation and closed cell nature of Technitherm® foam the property’s walls are now air tight and structurally sound.
