The client set out to find a durable design and materials for marine navigation buoys. The buoys need to withstand the harshest of marine environments, for a long lifetime with no maintenance requirements.

the solution

A navigation buoy designed by XJF Plastics Ltd and filled with Isothane ECOFIL 40 PUR buoynancy foam. Our product ECOFIL 40 has SOLAS approval and being of a closed cell structure provides buoyancy for any years without degradation and provides resistance to mechanical and chemical attack.

National Parks Antigua were completely satisfied with the performance of the navigation buoy filled with ECOFIL 40
