Buoyancy
Overview
Our moulded foam range, due to its closed cell content, can be used to provide buoyancy for many years without absorbing water.
The foam can be used in navigation buoys and as a filler for dead space in boat hulls. The presence of the foam in the boat hulls means that in the event of a collision which damages the hull the level of water ingress is reduced.
Ecofil 40 has been certified with the Lloyd’s Register for use in accordance with the International convention for the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS).
LD40 is a general -purpose closed-cell rigid foam for marine applications not requiring SOLAS approval
For “sub-sea” buoyancy requirements below the water’s surface, The Reprocell range of products offer both high closed cell content and high compressive strength, to tackle the extreme pressures associated with the ocean depths.
Our polyurea range of sprayable elastomers can also be used as an encapsulant for all buoyancy applications.
