The Client: Plopsaland Theme Park, Belgium.
The Problem: Novel techniques were required to create the 300mē
restaurant complex roof in this prestigious North Belgium
theme park.
The Solution: To create the toadstool shape, polyurethane foam was
sprayed and sculpted then sprayed with fast - setting
ARMOUR - FLEX polyurea elastomer to provide a durable,
waterproof and weatherproof coating.
The entire area was finished with aliphatic paints, which
bonded well to ARMOUR - FLEX.
The Outcome:
- Exceptionally tough and hard wearing roofing solution
- Highly aesthetic finish
- Unique design opportunities facilitated by the use of
polyurethane
- No problems reported nearly five years on
