ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE OF ISOTHANE IMPROVES YET AGAIN
Isothane was recently audited by BSI to the new Environmental Management System ISO14001: 2004 and was shown to have improved its Environmental Performance in the following areas: -
- Reduction in the amount of waste produced
- Reduction in Energy Consumption
- No pollution incidents
- Improvements in the "right first time" measure for batch manufacture
A separate Pollution Risk Assessment by The Environment Agency showed a dramatic improvement in Isothane's performance ( full results are available on www.environment-agency.gov.uk ) particularly in the way Isothane manages the chemicals used on site. Site cleanliness and housekeeping had also improved and were positively commented on by the Environment Agency.
