Isothane staff support local Macmillan Cancer Committee

Written By Dan Volpicelli

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Last year Isothane hosted its very first coffee morning in aid of Macmillan, proving to be a huge success and raising £145.61.  The fundraising didn’t stop there however as money raised in our Christmas raffle was also donated to this very worthy cause.

what next?

Whilst a date has already been set for another coffee morning, one member of staff has taken things one step further. After attending events organised by the local Hyndburn branch for Macmillan, Anne Morgan-Davies decided to personally try and raise as much money as she could for Macmillan in the Hyndburn area. With help from friends, family, a local graphic designer and printer, Anne has collected enough recipes to create her own book ‘A spot of baking & A whole lot of Caring’ full of ideas of baked goods for you to show off to your friends whilst also helping a great cause. From Jennifer’s lemon drizzle cake to Maria’s Marvellous brownies, Anne’s book has something for everyone.

Getting Your Hands On a Copy

You can grab yourself a copy of this by contacting info@isothane.com and we will pass your details over to Anne. Suggested donations for the book are £5.00 for a physical copy or £3.00 for an electronic copy, with all money being donated to The Hyndburn Macmillan Committee.

We’d like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped Anne put the book together, from the people who supplied the recipes to the designers and the printers who have agreed to help her.
