ARMOUR - FLEX PW

The Client:	Utilities company.

The Problem:	A potable water storage tower with a leaking roof. There had been many repairs over the years, but none successful in preventing rain contamination. The old coating had to be stripped and the new one applied and cured within 24 hours to eliminate any potential rain leakage problems if the weather deteriorated. The new coating had to be VOC free to prevent any tainting of the water during application; it also had to have approval for contact with drinking water.

The Solution:	Armour - Flex PW polyurea elastomer solved the roof waterproofing problem and has the flexibility to move with the concrete structure, keeping it permanently waterproof. No VOCs are present in Armour - Flex PW, so tainting was not an issue, and the cure time of a few hours prevented any problems with weatherproofing during application.

The Outcome:	The client has a fully waterproofed water tower, with full weatherproofing ( and protection from bird damage! ) for 10 years plus. Rain contamination of drinking water has been eliminated.
