Duratherm® Receives LABC Accreditation
Following in the footsteps of our injected foam product Technitherm® (Cert. number EWWS598), our Spray Foam product Duratherm® has now been given LABC certification (Cert number EW645).
This recent accreditation for Duratherm® now means that both Duratherm® and Technitherm® have LABC and KIWA certificates, an achievement we are very proud of here at Isothane.
What Does The Accreditation include?
The LABC accreditation for Duratherm® was assessed under 3 parts all covered by the same certificate. These 3 parts were as follows; firstly the insulation qualities of products, secondly the stabilisation qualities Duratherm® has to offer and finally the third part of the certificate was to assess its qualities working as insulation and a stabilisation agent simultaneously.
The Accreditation reads as follows:
‘Duratherm® OS is a 2 component modified polyurethane rigid foam system suitable for use in both flat and pitched roof applications. The material is formed in situ by mixing isocyanate and resin within the nozzle of a spray gun during the spraying process. The foam is spray applied in layers not exceeding 20mm with additional layers added to provide thickness. Curing of Duratherm takes place within 2 hours.
For stabilisation purposes the product can be used to extend roof life by at least 20 years.‘
